Two Wildcats Invited to the NCAA Career in Sports Forum
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Each year the NCAA selects 200 NCAA student-athletes to learn more about and explore the potential of careers in sports at the NCAA Career in Sports Forum. This year, the Wildcats will have two student-athlete attendees in Olivia Mendenhall of swimming and diving and DaRoyce Flemons of track and field.
The Kentucky women’s representative is Olivia Mendenhall. Mendenhall was recently among the list of new May SEC Graduates, receiving her BBA in Finance. She has received university honors and well as SEC Academic Honor Roll multiple times.
The men’s representative for the Wildcats is DaRoyce Flemons of UK track and field. DaRoyce is a graduate student from Paducah, Ky. In May 2024, Flemons graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and is now pursuing his master’s degree. In his undergraduate career, Flemons earned SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll honors in 2021, as well as SEC Spring Academic Honor Rolls honors in 2022 and 2024.
The two Wildcats will spend their week in Indianapolis, IN at the NCAA Headquarters, attending the three-day forum to network with peers and other individuals that work on collegiate campuses, conferences, and even at the national level through panels, breakouts, and speakers. The goal is for them to walk away feeling more educated and experienced, aiding in the transition to a career in the sports industry.
